This exquisite piece is an authentic White Tara Tibetan Thangka painting, representing the traditional Buddhist art form celebrated for its elaborate details and vivid hues. White Tara is revered for her immense compassion toward all living beings, surpassing a mother's love for her children. As the embodiment of enlightened maternal compassion, she shows infinite sympathy for those facing challenges in worldly existence. She is considered the female aspect of the universe and the source of all life. She lovingly fosters, nourishes, and smiles at the vitality of creation. Meditating on the goddess grants health, long life, fearlessness, patience, and peace. People cherish her for her quick response to their prayers. Her white color symbolizes her radiant purity and fundamental nature, which is the ultimate Truth, complete and undifferentiated.

In this painting, White Tara is depicted in a graceful posture of contemplative ease, with both legs raised and crossed, exuding regal elegance and serenity. Her right hand is extended downward, with an open palm and her thumb and index finger touching. This hand position is called Varada Mudra, the gesture of granting wishes and protection. Her left hand is raised to shoulder height, with her fingers extended and her palm turned outward. This hand is a gesture of granting refuge and freeing from fears, also known as Abhaya Mudra. Each of her hands holds a beautiful lotus flower stem above her shoulder, symbolizing her radiant purity and power. A distinctive characteristic of White Tara in this painting is her seven eyes. These eyes, including the usual two, one in the center of her forehead and one in her hands and feet, symbolize her divine omniscience. They represent her ability to see all the suffering and cries for help in the universe, invoking a sense of her all-encompassing compassion and understanding.
