Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, is a highly revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism and is considered one of the founding fathers of the Nyingma tradition, the oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism. He is also known by various other names, such as Guru Rinpoche, Padmakara, and the Second Buddha.

According to Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Guru Padmasambhava was an 8th-century Indian master who played a pivotal role in bringing Buddhism to Tibet. He was invited by the Tibetan king Trisong Detsen to help establish Buddhism in the region and to subdue malevolent spiritual forces.
